and away we go....

Here's the update so far. Greg and I packed up the house in NY (mostly) on Monday and set out for a night in New Hampshire. A huge, huge thank you to everyone in Troy for helping us wrap things up and an extra thank you to Sarah Nurre who spent almost every evening last week helping to pack, paint, move and motivate us to keep going (and is still sorting out the last of the house things in our absence). Before leaving we decided on one final meal in the house of saved wedding cake since Tuesday was also our one-year anniversary, accompanied by the last of the milk and coffee syrup of course. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8106/8650523428_ec953205a4.jpg Tuesday was met with a wonderful sendoff from the Sprague/Landenberger family in New Hampshire. Super sad to leave Fuzz but after the craziness of NY it was nice to see him somewhere a bit more normal again. We left the east coat in a snow storm (thanks Bridget for the ride to the airport) and by Wednesday we were in sunny Santa Monica. Had a great couple of day with the Williams/Crawford/Gillis crowd capped off with all seventeen gathered for a wonderful dinner at Greg's parent's house. It's Saturday now and we've made it from LA to Anchorage. We had a super short layover in Seattle but managed to get a fantastic aerial tour of the city while flying in. Greg's uncle, Ken, is a wonderful host here in AK and today took us on a road trip to Seward. There were some breathtaking views along the way and we had a blast playing with the animals at the Marine Center. We're back at Ken's now and totally content from a wonderful dinner in downtown Anchorage. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8258/8649434139_493392a2a3.jpg It's incredible to think that it's been less than a week since we've left NY and that this adventure is only just beginning. I'll try to include a bit more narrative in some of these posts, but for now figured we could at least give a quick update and say hello. A huge thank you again to everyone who has, is, and will be making this trip possible and I can't wait to share the next round of stories. IMG_2413
